Sledding

We went up to Mt hood to do some sledding. Sydney liked it. Nate may have liked it more. We had a great time. Sydney said she was ready to try skiing when she saw the skiers!! WAHOO!

Hiking

We went hiking in Forest Park in Portland and had a great time playing in the mud and being in the rain.

different kind of christmas

So we had a different Christmas than we thought we were going to have. We went to Idaho to spend it with Nates family. We got there on Saturday and had fun playing in the snow, spending time with family and playing games. On Christmas eve Syndey woke up from her nap with one of her eyes crossed. It Stayed crossed the whole next day. Her depth perception was completly off. She would go to grab for something and be a good 8 inches off. It was kinda scary to watch. So as new parents we decided to leave Idaho on Christmas day after dinner. When we got home Sydney woke up the next morning with 2 normal eyes. A couple times during the day it crossed, but not the whole day. We took her to the Dr. and was told she has a lazy eye and that she needed to strengthen the weaker eye. So she has to wear an eye patch for an hour a day for about 2 months. She has been really good about wearing the patch. We are so thankful everything is okay and that it can be corrected. Although it was a different christmas than we had expected, we still had a great time with the family in Idaho and a great time with just our family at home.

Funny sayings

So I need to start posting more of these. There are so many each day that I really need to write down.
So nate and Sydney were wrestling the other night. Sydney was giggling and gettin' dad and she stood up and tugged on her pants and said. 'Oh oh, my buns were gettin out!".

Hopefully more fun sayings to come!

Christmas time!!

Sydney catching a lift on nates shoulders. She loves her daddy so much. We are pretty lucky to have such a sweet loving daughter.

We went downtown to check out the tree in pioneer square. Syd said 'WHOA! Big tree. 'Sydney wants to go in tree"

Sydney did really good helping decorate the tree. She was pretty proud she was able to help.

We went to get our tree a couple of weekends ago. It was actually snowing for the half hour we were getting the tree. It was pretty cool. None of the snow stuck, but it sure made it feel 'christmasy'.

Sydney had some fun opinions of what trees she wanted to take home. She really liked the red tree.

We went to a pumkin patch near Mt hood. It was a lot of fun. We went through a corn maze and Sydney got to pick out her own pumpkin. She still has this crazy smile with her eyes closed. Not quite sure when she will 'out grow' it. She is funny. When you ask her to smile with her eyes open her face just freezes and she doen't even smile. She just opens her eyes really big.
