Meal time

It is never boring at our house.

Sydney- Mom, do you ever ask God to wash your heart clean?

A- I do. Almost every day. Do you?

S- I do...wait...what day is it today?

A- Wednesday.

S- Oh, okay..Yea, I ask God on Wednesday and on Saturday.

Last trip to Oaks Park for the summer

My mom came for a great visit a couple weeks ago. We headed to Oaks park for the last time of the summer. Sydney loves the amusement park. She talks about it often, that and Disneyland.

Thankfully my mom was with. I still can not go on spinning rides. I went on one with them that was a very g e n t l e spin and when I went to bed a night and closed my eyes I was still spinning. So I am not so keen on going on the spinny rides. But my mom is a trooper and she went on all the spinny rides. The SUPER spinny rides. The tilt a whirl was working and Sydney wanted to go on twice. The second time I thoght their faces were going to whirl off they were spinning so fast.

First day of school

7:15 AM- Pitter patter pitter patter....Sydney is by my side of the bed, "wake up mommy, is it time to go to school yet?"

Not yet honey, we have to get dressed and eat breakfast.

8:00 AM- "Okay mommy I am dressed and ready to go to school now." She has her shoes on, her backpack and is ready to go.

We dont't have to leave for another 45 minutes. Lets take some pictures....

"I want one with mommy, daddy and stellie"8:15 AM- "Okay can we go now mommy.I can't wait to go to school mommy!"
8:30 AM- We are all dressed, sydney has her backpack on, new shoes, hair brushed, and a HUGE smile on her face. How am I going to stretch out the time? I dilly dally trying to get to the car. We still have time to kill. School starts at 9:00 and it is a 5 minute drive.

8:35 AM- We pull out of the drivc way and I try to think of a way to get to school slower.

I research a new way to bike to school. A way that is less hilly and on a less busy street. Killed 10 minuets. Check.

8:50 AM- Pull into school parking lot. Take my time parking and getting Stella out. I go around to help Syd with her backpack. "mommy....I am kinda nervous about going to school." A big hug and kisses.

It is going to be so fun Syd!

8:52 AM- We are the first ones there. It worked out perfect. Sydney had both teachers all to herself. We had a chance for a picture and to give her teachers the picture she had drawn of them.

9:05 AM- "Okay mom bye". She couldn't have pushed me out the door sooner. This kid was ready for school!

Stella's First steps

Sydney's Tag along

While we were in Idaho a couple of weeks back , we acquired a Tag a long! ( thanks Jody)

Sydney was so excited to ride it. After the first time around the block she was begging for more.

We were able to use it this past weekend riding around all of Portland in the Bridge pedal. We went over 6 of the Portland bridges. They close the street to all cars and just bikers are on the streets. It was really cool. Here are some pictures of the new to us tag along and the bridge pedal.

Date night

Nate and I had a date night. It was fantastic. We were able to help one of Nate's co workers celebrate their wedding. It was beautiful. It had amazing views of the gorge, beautiful grassy knoll, white tables and chairs, big forested paths, a radiant bride and a proud groom.
Nate and I danced, ate and drank. Enjoyed one another and can't wait till our next night out. I love my husband.
