Nate and I did a challenge course training for YMCA Camp Orkila in Orcas Island this last week. We had a great time. It was hard to go home. Went boating, played on the beach, hiking, saw lots of horses and deer. good memories. Can't wait to go back next year!

The First Lawn Mow

Here is Nate enjoying the first time mowing our own lawn. I am sure he won't be this excited to do it again.

We are in the middle of putting in a dishwasher and I think we now know what it means to be home owners. Our sink is 'unpluged' there are tools and saw dust all over the floor. We can see the sub floor. We have been to home depot and true value twice today and it is 7:00 pm. ( of course I am writting this post, so I am not much help). Hopefully a dishwasher will be working soon. Go nate!

Exciting times!

We bought a house! We are so excited. We found a great 1950's house just on the border of Portland and Milwaukie. It is about 5 min from where we are living now. It is a great house with a huge finished basement for lots of playing and visitors!

We are moving in soon. We feel so blessed to have found this house and to be able to own it. Can't wait to you all come visit!!

Sand Box

Sydney got a new sandbox from Nana and papa Pfefferkorn. She loves it! She loves to dig, let the sand fall through her hands, put sand in the bucket and just sit in the box. It is so fun to watch her explore.

Easter!

We had a great Easter. It was a little rainy, it's the Northwest. But that didn't stop us from having an Easter egg hunt! Sydney really had fun. She was great at finding the eggs and would really DROP them in her basket and then she would shake the basket up and down. Good they were hard boiled!!

Sydney really loves being outside. She would be outside all day if she could. She loves picking up rocks and dirt and letting them fall through her fingers. She loves picking up leaves, watching ducks, watching the streams, stomping in puddles, and just getting dirty.

Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Ken bought Sydney a table just her size. She really enjoys coloring and playing with Playdough at it. She also is really proud of herself everytime she gets off the chair on her own. It is pretty cute!

Meal times are always interesting. Sydney is quite the picky eater. She has her favorites. Macaroni, eggs, and SAUSAGE. She loves sausage. I think she would eat it all day if I let her. Maybe it is a rebellion from being deprived of it in the womb.

She is learning to use a spoon and fork and getting really good at it.

I know, I know....friends don't let friends drink starbucks. no need for an intervention.

We went for a bike ride with Sydney in a bike trailer and learned the lesson not to ride through muddy puddles with out fenders and a baby in a trailer.
