Stella is Here!

Stella Claire Pfefferkorn has arrived! She joined us on May 23rd at 2:40am....after 1 hour of labor. (Way to go Allison.) She was 8lbs. 12oz and 19 inches long. We're home from the hospital and resting up.

Sydney came to visit in the hospital and she is very excited to have a little sister. Hopefully that transition will go well over the next couple of weeks.

We'll post more pictures as we have time.

Who do you think she looks like?

Playin'

We have been playing outside a lot and getting REAL dirty. Sydney loves to play in the mud. She loves to dig in it. Squash her toes in it and lay in it.

She has also been loving just laying around in the grass, rolling, reading books and hanging out in her tent.

Almost 1 week left!

Well, I am almost to my due date. It is next wednesday. I can't believe that it is here already. I feel like it has been so much harder to wait for Stella to arrive than it was for Sydney. I am guessing because I know how great it is to finally meet this little person that has been growing inside me. We are pretty much all ready. Just a couple of last minute things to throw in the bag. I am a little nercous because nate will be a about an hour away every day till next monday. And most of the time with limited cell reception. So I pray that if I go early it will be in the evening when he is home.

Sydney has been getting ready too. She has been playing with her baby a lot. And talking about all the things she is going to share with Stella. It is so cute. I can't wait to see her as a big sister.

Sydney's Eyes

Well, thankfully we went to the eye Dr and got a confirmation on what needs to be done to help her eye crossing.
She is going to need eye surgery on both eyes to correct the muscles. Not only do her eyes turn in, they also turn up. The good news is that her vision has not been affected at all and the Dr is very confident that the surgery is the best way to correct the crossing. So we are relieved, scared and nervous all at the same time. We can't wait to get her eyes fixed. but know that it will be a tough couple of days with the surgery and recovery. We are scheduled for June 23rd. We are so thankful for the Dr and that Sydney is able to have this surgery. She truely is a trooper and has done/ doing such a great job wearing her eye patch AND glasses. It will be nice when the eye patch days are over.
Sydney has been asking to pray at dinner and at bed time and lately she has been saying..."And thank you for the eye doctor, and ....." just so precious how she knows he is there to help her. ( He being the eye dr and God)
