Christmas Part Two: Shootem' up

Christmas in Kooskia Idaho just wouldn't be Christmas if there wasn't some gun shootin'. There are always plenty of big powerful guns, lots of ammo and plenty of targets ( beer cans and clay pigeons) around.
I look so tough, it scares me to look at this photo...

This year I was able to shoot a, I think think they call them 'assault rifles'. It was an automatic gun. You know those ones in movies where is goes 'boom boom boom boom boom' (I am not good at sound effects) But it shoots fast! Here is a video of me. It is a little scary. The funny kind of scary.
*Notice my nice shootin' shoes and socks.
tomorrow: Christmas part three: Christmas day+ Moustachmas!

Christmas Part One: Playing in the snow

There was not much snow to be had, but we took full advantage of what was there. Sydney couldn't wait to get out and play in the snow. She had a great time sledding with Nate and 'Yahooooo-ing' all the way down. She even got brave and went down all by herself.
Stella was a little unsure of the snow. She tried to eat it, walk in it, sit in it and sled in it. All of which she wasn't to sure of.
We all loved the bright warm sun in the sky, the beautiful landscape ( Sydney commented, " Isn't it beautiful mommy!), and the time with family.
Stay tuned for Christmas Part Two: Shootem' up.......

Art

Nate and I
Noahs Ark

Christmas tree with presents and a rug
Sydney's art work has really taken off. SHe does art for hours a day. She loves drawing, gluing, painting, sticking, taping, you name it. She has so much confidence in her skills. She will try anything and is always proud of the outcome. I love to see what she creates. Our walls are filled with her work. Well, her work and her daddys.

After dinner, Sydney said that she was going to clean up all our plates and wash the dishes. My sweet 4 year old proceeded to take all of our dishes, put leftover food in the garbage and washed our plates. When she was done she said, " You do all the hard work mom. Now I can help you."

I cried. How blessed I am to have such a caring, articulate, sweet 4 years old girl. Thank you God for my dear family.

I am not sure if she forgot the real name or she was just being her creative self, but Sydney was drinking water out of a cup and it splashed up her nose and she said, " Whoa,,,, it went down my nose throat. hee hee."
funny kid.

It is not raining!

We have been trying to get outside every chance we get when it is not raining. We have made the occasional trip around the block in the rain, but Stella's little foot just doesn't stay in her rain boots. So it makes for a difficult exploration.
We did have fun raking, playing, jumping in, dropping leaves the other day. Stella wasn't as into laying in the leaves as Syd was. There was lots of laughter, snot and smiles!

Just a little something to make you jump into the weekend......

Both girls had so much fun with these disgusting teeth. They were a little scary at first but them LOTS of laughter.
Stella saw these pictures and when she saw the first one she crawled up my neck she was so scared. She wouldn't look at them again. hee hee.
