Stella's First steps

Sydney's Tag along

While we were in Idaho a couple of weeks back , we acquired a Tag a long! ( thanks Jody)

Sydney was so excited to ride it. After the first time around the block she was begging for more.

We were able to use it this past weekend riding around all of Portland in the Bridge pedal. We went over 6 of the Portland bridges. They close the street to all cars and just bikers are on the streets. It was really cool. Here are some pictures of the new to us tag along and the bridge pedal.

Date night

Nate and I had a date night. It was fantastic. We were able to help one of Nate's co workers celebrate their wedding. It was beautiful. It had amazing views of the gorge, beautiful grassy knoll, white tables and chairs, big forested paths, a radiant bride and a proud groom.
Nate and I danced, ate and drank. Enjoyed one another and can't wait till our next night out. I love my husband.

Oaks park

We went to the local small amusement park. They have a morning that is just for preschool and younger kids. Stella was able to do a couple things like look so cute as a little 'squirrel'.

Sydney loved riding the motorcycles. She thought Nate would have loved to ride them with her.

Sydney really was excited to go on the hot air balloons. You can't really tell by her face though.

Oaks Park is just another reason why I love Portland!

Orcas island

*Found this post that I had forgot to publish. Better late than never.

We went to Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. It is so beautiful there. Nate had a training to do, so the girls and I met him up there and had some adventures of our own!

We all loved the Ferry ride over. I think I could ride the ferry boats all day.

At the Top of Mt Constitution. We climbed in the castle and 'let down out hair.'

This handsome man took us for a sunset boat ride on the sound. We are some pretty lucky girls!

I know it isn't very good parenting skills to take a picture while your child is crying. But this one was hard to pass up. She couldn't roll over. It really was a good laugh.Stella is in the lower right corner. 'I can't get up!!!"
It was a great trip with lots of fun memories!

Kooskia Days

The last Saturday in July there is a Kooskia, Idaho parade. Last summer when we went Sydney wanted to be in the parade. She has talked and talked about the parade all year, She couldn't wait to catch candy and to throw candy.
Her 2nd cousins, Jordon and Cody, took Sydney under their wings and got her ready to ride in the parade. She was dressed in a funky costume of flowered lays, sparkle stars, face paint and a crazy wig over her helmet. Sydney really wanted to catch some candy so she decided that she would meet Jordan and Cody when they came by. They helped her decorate her bike and the walked with her and encouraged her on the parade route.
We were so proud of Sydney. The parade was the biggest it has been and there was quite the crowd with loud noises and big trucks, But she braved it all and got on her little bike and rode half of the parade route.
She was, of course, the cutest in the parade!

City Girl

There is always something we get to do in Kooskia that we would normally get to do where we live in the city. Nate's aunt and uncle have horses. Every evening Nate's cousin in law takes her kids out to help feed the horses in the evening. While we were there Sydney was able to tag along.

Sydney watched Kaylee, Syd's 2nd cousin who is the same age, get a handful of hay to feed the horses. As Kaylee was handing the horse the hay Sydney looked at her Nana and said, " She can't feed the horses. She is not a zoo keeper."
